Description
Silicone has a surface energy of only 24 dynes/cm, meaning the molecular attraction between epoxy and silicone is very weak. This allows resin to release cleanly from the bladder surface during curing. Compared to rubber bladders, silicone provides a more stable and reliable solution, as it does not react negatively when in contact with epoxy.
These Y-shaped silicone bladders are designed for demanding pipe relining applications. Their seamless welded construction improves overall strength and significantly reduces the risk of leaks. Thanks to the efficiency of silicone, the bladder walls can also be manufactured thinner without compromising durability.
They are suitable for both hot water curing and steam curing systems and can withstand temperatures up to 80°C (176°F).
Each bladder is manufactured approximately 10% smaller than its nominal diameter. For example, DN100 refers to the pipe size, while the bladder itself measures 90mm. When pressurized, it expands to match the pipe diameter precisely.
Please note that silicone bladders may experience approximately 10% shrinkage during use, which is a normal characteristic of the material.
Important note: All bladders are manufactured upon order, which may cause a slight delay in delivery.
