Description
Silicone has a very low surface energy (24 dynes/cm), which significantly reduces the molecular bond between the bladder surface and epoxy resin. This allows the resin to release cleanly during curing, unlike rubber bladders which can react negatively when in contact with epoxy. This makes silicone an ideal material for CIPP pipe relining applications.
The 90° T-shaped bladder is designed for durability and precision. Its seamless welded construction improves strength and greatly reduces the risk of leaks. At the same time, the efficient properties of silicone allow for a thinner wall design without compromising performance.
These bladders are suitable for both hot water curing and steam curing systems and can withstand temperatures up to 80°C (176°F).
Each bladder is manufactured approximately 10% smaller than its nominal diameter. For example, DN100 refers to the pipe size, while the bladder itself measures 90mm. When pressurized, it expands to properly fit the pipe diameter.
Please note that silicone bladders may experience approximately 10% shrinkage during use, which is a normal characteristic of the material.
