Keep your flexible shaft perfectly centered inside the pipe during descaling, cutting, or reinstatement work. This Centralizing Brush stabilizes the shaft at low speeds and ensures precise, controlled tool performance.
When you are using a Root Removal Tool, cutting out a solid obstruction in a pipe, or you are reinstating a junction after relining a pipe, you will probably work at a slower speed. The disadvantage to running your equipment at lower speeds is that the tools no longer centralize themselves in the pipe. At lower speeds the tools tend to bounce around the inner circumference of a pipe. This can be especially frustrating when you need the tool to remain steady and centralized in order to achieve your end goal.
Unlike the nylon and carbide brushes, these brushes do not have set screws which secure them to the shaft. This means that the shaft is free to spin inside the center hole while the brush remains stationary. This keeps your shaft in the center of the pipe which in turn centralizes the tool.
These brushes should be held into position on the flexible shaft with shaft locks (not included).
All of the centralizing brushes have a hard plastic central core with thick bristles which will allow the brush to hold a weight of around 3.30 lbs (1.5kg).
