Description

The Crown Drill Head is designed for aggressive drilling into solid obstructions in drain and sewer pipes. It is commonly used for breaking through hardened materials such as cement deposits, failed liners, heavy scale build-up, and severe root intrusions that block or restrict pipe flow.

When combined with a circular chain, it creates a highly effective cutting system that delivers forward abrasion while the carbide teeth on the rim assist in breaking down tough deposits.

The opening tip diameter is 25mm (1″), and the total length is 45mm (1.77″) from front to rear.

The tool mounts securely to the shaft using three set screws, ensuring a stable and reliable connection during operation under load. It is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, even in harsh and wet sewer environments.

We do not recommend this drill head for PVC pipes, unless you use it with a plain circular chain because the hard metal bits which are fused to the head could damage PVC. If used this way, extra caution must be taken around bends and transitions in the pipe, as the aggressive cutting action can increase the risk of damage in these areas.

For PVC applications, we recommend using the Croco Drill Head, which is designed to be less aggressive while still highly effective in PVC, metal, and ceramic pipes.
