Silicone double lateral bladder designed for pipe relining, suitable for 90° angle applications in a 180° position. Compatible with hot water or steam curing. Please take a look at the specification sheet for more details.
The Double Lateral Bladder 90° Angle – 180° Position is designed for cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) repair applications involving lateral connections.
Silicone is used due to its low surface energy of approximately 24 dynes/cm, which reduces adhesion with epoxy resin. This allows the resin to slide off the bladder surface during curing, unlike rubber bladders which can react negatively when in contact with epoxy.
Because of this material efficiency, silicone bladders can be manufactured with thinner walls. This bladder has a wall thickness of approximately 1mm.
These double lateral bladders are suitable for hot water curing or steam curing and can withstand temperatures up to 80°C (176°F).
They are constructed with a seamless weld, improving strength and significantly reducing the risk of leaks.
Please note that silicone bladders are manufactured approximately 10% smaller than their nominal diameter. For example, DN100 refers to the pipe size, while the bladder itself measures 90mm; DN150 corresponds to a 135mm bladder, and so on. When pressurized, the bladder expands to match the pipe diameter.
Please note that silicone bladders may experience approximately 10% shrinkage during use, which is a normal characteristic of the material.
