Silicone double lateral bladder for CIPP pipe relining, designed for 90° angle applications in a 90° position. Suitable for hot water and steam curing. Please take a look at the specification sheet for more details.
Silicone only has a surface energy of approximately 24 dynes/cm, so the molecular force between epoxy and silicone is weak. This makes silicone an ideal material for creating a packer for cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) repairs, because the resin will slide off the silicone surface, unlike a rubber bladder which can react negatively when in contact with epoxy.
Since silicone bladders are more efficient, they can also be thinner. This bladder tube is only 1mm thick.
These double lateral bladders can be used for hot water curing or steam curing. They withstand temperatures up to a maximum of 80°C (176°F).
Double lateral bladders have a seamless weld, which makes them strong and significantly reduces the chance of leaking.
Please note that silicone bladders are manufactured approximately 10% smaller than their nominal diameter. For example, DN100 refers to the pipe size, while the bladder itself measures 90mm; DN150 corresponds to a 135mm bladder, and so on. When pressurized, the bladder expands to match the pipe diameter.
Please note that silicone bladders may experience approximately 10% shrinkage during use, which is a normal characteristic of the material.
