A powerful pipe descaler. Designed for the removal of limescale, urine scale, tuberculation, and other hard incrustations in large-diameter pipes made of metal, cast iron, cement, or ceramic.
This drain descaling kit is designed for the effective removal of limescale, tuberculation, and other hard incrustations in pipes made from metal, cast iron, cement, ceramic, and other hard materials.
This descaling kit comes with a 12mm (1/2″) shaft only. You will need a more powerful drill than for the smaller diameter kits, so please get in touch with us if you need a recommendation.
The included circular chains clean the full inner circumference of the pipe, delivering fast and consistent descaling performance. The chains feature hard alloy cutting elements fused to each link, allowing for aggressive material removal in heavily scaled systems.
Please note that this kit is not suitable for PVC pipes. The cutting elements may damage softer materials if the tool is left rotating in one position for too long.
The circular chain operates in a controlled centrifugal motion. Unlike conventional chain knockers, it prevents the pipe wall from being subjected to individual impacts. The force is distributed evenly around the entire pipe wall, reducing localized impact and improving cleaning efficiency, even in irregular or partially damaged pipework.
The crown drill head included in this kit is an excellent addition to this descaling setup, as it penetrates the blockage and clears the path for the descaling chain.

Please note that the flexible shaft carrier will hold a maximum of 15m (49ft) of the 12mm (½”) shaft.
Important: Using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. We recommend using a metric Allen key instead.

Do not use the shaft inside the carrier.
When operating, your shaft should be unwound to at least a 1m (3ft) diameter, which is the natural coil size where friction and heat buildup are minimized. Otherwise, friction and heat buildup between the shaft and the sleeve will significantly reduce the shaft's performance and lifespan.
