We created this flexible drain rod by cutting the flexible shaft into shorter lengths and crimping a T-slide adapter onto each end, allowing it to be used just like a regular drain rod.
Our regular drain rods are made from POM (Polyoxymethylene) which is not very flexible. A flexible shaft on the other hand is flexible, but the shaft is mainly used as a radial torque transmission system.
To bridge this gap, we have cut the flexible shaft into shorter lengths and crimped a T-slide adapter to each end. This creates a flexible drain rod that can be used just like a regular drain rod, while still providing the maneuverability you need in curved or hard-to-reach sections of pipe.
Please note that a T-slide connection is not intended for high-speed rotation. For this reason, we do not recommend using this flexible drain rod as you would a flexible shaft with drain cleaning chains.
