Description

The Heavy-duty Plain Chain is designed specifically for cleaning PVC (ABS) pipe systems, where protection of the pipe wall is crucial.

Unlike the chains suitable for cleaning metal/ceramic pipes, this chain does not have hard metal bits fused to the cutting edge, so it is suitable for use in PVC pipes.

It can include a Croco drill head at the front, allowing controlled cutting of roots and grinding of failed liners while maintaining pipe safety.

The design also uses centrifugal force to keep the tool centered in the pipe, ensuring full internal cleaning.

Made from stainless steel to prevent oxidation, the chain is durable and corrosion-resistant. It is adjustable, allowing you to adapt to smaller pipe diameters by adjusting the hub spacing.

Each set consists of three individual chains made from 4mm stainless steel links, providing strength and flexibility during operation.

As these chains are heavier than the lightweight versions, we recommend pairing them with heavy-duty shafts such as 10mm and 12mm (3/8″ and 1/2″) models.

We have also developed heavy-duty Croco and X-tip chains, that are suitable for metal and ceramic pipes.

Important: Using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. We recommend using a metric Allen key instead.

This plain chain can be used with Picote Maxi Miller, Super Midi, Midi Cleaner and Ridgid K9-306 FlexShaft® Machine because they use 10mm (3/8") and 12mm (1/2") shafts.
