The award-winning Picote Smart Cutter™ is a unique is a unique multi-purpose tool used for pipe relining, reinstatement, and internal pipe preparation. Traditionally, junction reinstatement required expensive robotic equipment and significant operator training. The Smart Cutter simplifies this process, allowing efficient and controlled work using a flexible shaft system.

The tool comes with a central hub with interchangeable sanding panels that slide into place. The hub connects to your flexible shaft with set screws, and the panels slide into the hub. Once assembled, it is used to sand and prepare the inner surface of pipes for relining. Standard grinding panels are included (12 in a pack), with additional options such as extra rough or polishing panels available separately.

For reinstatement or cutting through obstructions, a Front Panel for Smart Cutter and a Front Drill Head can be attached, making the tool suitable for both preparation and cutting tasks. Please note that these items are not included with the Picote Smart Cutter.

The Smart Cutter is designed to navigate 90° bends easily. When used with a Steering Wire, it allows improved control by enabling pulling action while pushing with the flexible shaft.

It is highly effective for removing roots, scale, CIPP fins, resin slugs, failed liners, and for preparing pipes for brush coating, even in more fragile pipe conditions. It can also remove cement, and in some cases even concrete inside pipes, as long as the pipe is not completely blocked by concrete.
