For the big jobs.

This kit will not replace your high pressure water jet for the removal of sand deposits, but if you are looking at this option then you are probably interested in grinding up tree roots, remove cement, tile grout, stones and other hard blockages.

This kit is suitable for PVC (ABS) pipes, and the kit only comes with a 12mm (1/2") cable. Anything thinner than this will struggle with torque limitation over longer distances. You will need a more powerful drill than the smaller diameter kits, so please get in touch with us if you need a recommendation.

Safe to use in a confined space with limited access, and the chemical resistant sleeve that houses the shaft will protect your hands while the shaft rotates inside.

The chains that come with the kit are not equipped with hard metal bits fused to the chain links, so they will not cause damage to the side walls of the PVC pipes, but they have a crown drill head which has a 25mm (1”) opening diameter, meant for cutting in a forward direction.

Not only do they obliterate blockages, but they can also tackle mild lime scale buildup and tuberculation in pipes.

Each chain consists of three individual stainless steel chains, made from stainless steel to prevent oxidation. The chains use centrifugal force to centre the tool inside the pipe, and are easily adjustable when mounted to the flexible shaft as they are fastened with set screws.

If you are in the pipe rehabilitation trade, you will be familiar with the challenges of extracting a failed liner. This kit will grind up a failed liner faster than chemical softeners, and you can mount a sewer camera behind the chains to see what you are doing in real time. We recommend complimenting these tools with our Croco Bore for reinstatement tasks.

If your focus is on sewer pipe cleaning, then this light weight, and compact tool will obliterate root intrusion in less time than it will take for you to set up your jetting machine.

Disadvantage - The crown drill head is aggressive, and could damage a PVC (ABS) pipe bend or elbow.. Preferably use on straight runs or start cleaning after you have navigated past the bend.

The kit includes:

A flexible shaft complete with sleeve and friction bearings to prevent dirt from getting between the shaft and the sleeve. The sleeve is heat and chemical resistant, and offers the perfect combination of rigidity and flexibility whilst maintaining a light weight.

Rotator shaft socket to connect the flexible shaft to your power drill

Plain Chain Knocker (with drill head) - 150mm (6")

Plain Chain Knocker (with drill head) - 200mm (8")

Before you order the longest length possible, consider this:

Most experienced users order the kit with a short shaft for everyday use and supplement it with a secondary shaft and connector. The advantage to this is that on a day-to-day basis, you carry less with you into your workspace, then if you need extra length you can fetch your secondary shaft from your vehicle and connect it to the one you are working with. A second advantage to having two separate shafts is that should you accidentally kink the one you are working with then you have a backup available immediately.

Points to note:

These products are intended to be used by trained professionals in the sewer cleaning trade. They do not come with instructions. If you would like training please make contact with us, and we will guide you.

Product pictures may vary in color and design depending on the size and diameter that you order.

Aviation law prohibits us from delivering products which could be considered flammable so we send the shafts without lubricant in the sleeve.

Please be sure to lubricate your flexible shaft before using it, and then check the lubrication every few weeks. This not only ensures the longevity of your shaft, but also makes it more efficient over longer distances. Here is a video we made on how to lubricate your shaft:
