Description

The protective sleeve allows you to hold the flexible shaft whilst it is rotating. It is made from a specially developed blend of PEX designed to withstand both heat and the aggressive chemicals commonly found in sewer environments.

This is not standard PEX pipe. Ordinary PEX will typically soften or melt under high temperatures and chemical exposure, but this material is engineered for demanding drain cleaning applications.

The sleeve is designed with a balance of weight and rigidity. A lightweight sleeve improves reach into the pipe and makes vertical work more efficient, especially when working against gravity. At the same time, the controlled flexibility of the shaft is preserved, allowing smooth navigation through bends and junctions.

For best performance, it should be used together with our Sleeve Friction Rings to prevent dirt from getting between the sleeve and the rotating shaft. This reduces wear and significantly improves the longevity and performance of your shaft.
