It is important to note that using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. For this reason, all Allen keys included in this set are metric.

When a flexible shaft is spinning with a tool attached, it’s exposed to constant vibration. These repeated impacts against the pipe wall can gradually cause the small set screws to loosen on their own, and eventually fall out. Losing a screw means your tool is held less securely and can detach from the shaft.

To prevent this, we strongly recommend using a thread-locker liquid (commonly available in any hardware store). Simply apply a small drop onto the threads before inserting the screw into your tool. This helps keep the screw in place and greatly reduces the chance of it backing out during operation.
