A Shaft-to-Shaft Connector is designed to join two flexible shafts together, allowing extended reach and the connection of flexible shafts of different diameters.

Description

Many of our clients prefer to carry a shorter flexible shaft for everyday work and keep an additional shaft in their vehicle for longer reach when needed.

The Shaft-to-Shaft Connector allows you to quickly join a secondary shaft when extra length is required, extending your working range inside sewer pipes. It also enables the connection of different shaft diameters, giving more flexibility in setup. For example, a thicker shaft can be used on the drill end for strength, while a thinner shaft can be used on the tool end for improved flexibility in tighter pipe sections.

Please note that we do not manufacture shaft-to-shaft connectors for 6mm (1/4″) shafts. This is because the connector size could be too large to pass through tight bends in narrow pipes. We believe offering a 6mm connector would increase the risk of users experiencing this issue, so we have chosen not to produce it.

Having said that, a lot of customers have mentioned using our 8mm (5/16″) shaft-to-shaft connector on 6mm (1/4″) shafts when they clean boilers. Tightening the set screws a bit more (and evenly) seems to do the trick for them, but please take into consideration that the size of the actual connector may be inappropriate for bends in narrow pipes.

  • Outer Diameter:
    • 25mm (0.98") body diameter
    • 35mm (1.38") swivel ring diameter
  • Available for the Following Shaft Sizes:
    • 8mm (5/16")
    • 10mm (3/8")
    • 12mm (1/2")
    • 14mm (11/20")

Important: Using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. We recommend using a metric Allen key instead.

A screw set with metric Allen keys can be found here.

The Shaft-to-Shaft Connector is used to extend or modify flexible shaft setups during sewer cleaning operations.

  • Extends shaft length when additional reach is required
  • Allows connection of flexible shafts of different diameters
  • Improves flexibility in tool configuration
