The Torpedo Chain is an all-in-one descaling chain designed for 4″ (100mm) pipes. Its spiral design pushes debris backward and delivers faster descaling than standard circular chains.
ALL IN ONE DRAIN CHAIN
The Torpedo Chain 4″ is engineered for fast, efficient descaling in 100mm (4″) pipes. Its spiral construction forces debris backward while maximizing the number of teeth in contact with the pipe wall. This allows it to remove scale significantly faster than regular circular chains.
Although built for a 12mm (1/2″) shaft, this chain can also be used on 8mm (5/16″) and 10mm (3/8″) shafts by inserting the appropriate adapter, meaning one chain works across three different shaft sizes.
Soon, additional drill and reinstatement heads will be available, allowing the chain to tackle heavy blockages and reinstate junctions.
This chain is equipped with tungsten carbide bits fused to the chain links, so we generally don’t recommend using it in PVC pipes. If you choose to use it in plastic pipes, make sure the chain is always moving and never kept stationary inside the pipe, as this could damage the pipe wall.
We’ve recently developed a way to offer a Torpedo Chain together with a Drain Root Cutter drill head.
If you select the option that includes a drill head, you will receive the Torpedo Chain (with or without additional shaft size adapters, depending on your selection), along with a Drain Root Cutter adapter and a Drain Root Cutter head.
This setup gives you a strong advantage: the drill head helps break through heavy blockages first, allowing the chain to then efficiently clean the full pipe surface afterward.
Important: Using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. We recommend using a metric Allen key instead.
