Lightweight X-tip chain is designed for blockage removal in metal and ceramic pipes using thinner shafts or lower power systems.
We made this lightweight version of the X-tip chain for clients who are using thinner flexible shafts or smaller power sources. It is designed for blockage removal in metal and ceramic pipes.
Its lightweight construction reduces strain on the shaft and allows operation with lower torque, making it suitable for use with smaller power sources while still delivering strong cleaning performance.
Each chain link is only 3.5mm (0.14″) in diameter, which significantly reduces the overall weight. This is especially helpful when using a thinner shaft, as the chain requires less torque than a heavy-duty chain.
While the circular chains are specifically designed for descaling pipes, this chain will also remove tuberculation and lime scale buildup, although at a slower rate than a circular chain.
The chain is adjustable, allowing it to be set for a slightly smaller cleaning diameter by tightening the hubs further apart. It uses centrifugal force to self-center the tool within the pipe, ensuring that the entire inner surface is cleaned quickly and effectively.
Both the chains and connection hubs are made from stainless steel, with tungsten carbide teeth fused to the cutting edge for durability and more powerful performance.
The Lightweight X-Tip chain is suitable for pipes made of metal, cast iron, concrete, copper, steel, and ceramic. Due to its aggressive nature, we do not recommend using this chain in PVC (ABS) pipes.
Please note that this model is not available with a drill head attached at the front.
Important: Using an imperial Allen key may strip the set screws. We recommend using a metric Allen key instead.
